2023? Wow... I have a feeling this is going to be a great year! Like some, I have made some resolutions both personal & professional. I always try to focus on one thing I can do better for myself each year personally, but this year I am doing that AND working to make this year for my clients EXTRAORDINARY! Without you, my clients, I am just a lonely person with a camera.... lol... I thrive when I have amazing people in front of my camera. Maybe it is selfish, but I LOVE having photo sessions to look forward to... because I know that I will soon be creating some amazing art. And that is what photography is, it is art.

With that being said, it brings me to one new change for my clients. After gaining feedback from clients, the general public and other photographers I now offer luxury heirloom products with my photo sessions. A lot of people mentioned they did not know what they would do with ALL of those digital images. Well, I have the answer. Wall art, canvases, standouts, luxury albums, image boxes, fine art mounted prints, and gift prints. Take those beautiful images and put them in your home to enjoy daily. Yes! This is what we need to do with those images... back to old times of printing our pictures. I offer 4 different portrait collections that vary in price, and what products they include. When you choose me as your photographer you have a full service photographer. From pre-session prep, attention to detail day of session, and a designer to help you choose & customize products that fit your budget and taste. Once I receive your products from my lab, they will all be delivered to you in beautiful packaging.

More changes? Yes! I  am excited to be getting a new logo, one that is ALL mine. I have an amazing marketing firm, Berg Marketing working on it as we speak. They are an amazing husband & wife team and I highly recommend them. Our relationship goes beyond a new logo and shirts.... Ryan Berg, is a videographer and has agreed to join me on my HS Senior Sessions! He will provide a hightlight/behind the scenes video for the new senior experience. That is my other VERY exciting thing to start the year! I can't wait!

As some of you may know, I love my HS Senior clients. They honestly are my favorite genre. So... with that I have brought my VIP Senior Team back. This is a once in a lifetime experience for current HS JUNIORS! Yes, Juniors especially if professional senior pictures are in the future. This amazing team is designed to be a positive, uplifting and fun experience. It spans from Fall/Winter of the Junior year through Graduation. During that time you will get extra photo sessions, group activities, new friendships, win prizes & so much more! It is not meant to take up a lot of time, as I know HS students are busy. And don't forget the addition of a videographer at your premier senior session!

It has been a LONG time since I have blogged a photo session! But let me tell you.... IT FEELS SOOOOO GOOD to be back behind the camera and in front of the computer editing! I have been MIA for the last few years... life has definitely been crazy for myself and I know you can all relate. I have missed doing this.... I LOVE SENIOR PICTURES!! It gives me the opportunity to be creative, spunky, fun, and spontaneous... which I normally am not.  It pushes me out of my comfort zone, and I honestly can say I need it! It brings me so much joy and happiness to work with these amazing young people and show them how BEAUTIFUL & UNIQUE they are and if we have a little fun along the way, and they walk away feeling more CONFIDENT..... then I accomplished my goal! 

A little backstory ....

I recently relocated from Pierce County to Lewis County in the Chehalis area. I love it down here, and the people are pretty cool too!  I am looking to put my name out in the nearby communities to give families another option as they look for a senior photographer. I will be serving high school seniors in Chehalis, Centralia, Adna, Napavine, Onalaska, Winlock, Tumwater, Olympia and surrounding areas. If you are outside this area, still reach out!  I never want to turn away an opportunity to build a relationship with new clients.

Now, I said the schedules worked out... that doesn't always mean they are in the "mood" for their pictures to be taken!  Sometimes it is just way too hard to get yourself ready for the pictures, pick your outfits, drive to the location.... and then smile? What was I thinking to expect all of this?  Silly Mom!  Usually one daughter is more energetic then the other, and this is the case again.

This first Blog is my youngest daughter. She was being a complete goof the whole time we were outside shooting this session.  It was only about 44* and my fingers were freezing!  I had to work around the goof she was being!  She also had to incorporate her LOVE in this session.... you will have to scroll down to see what it is!! I hope you enjoy this Sassy Freshman, and her love for???   Make sure to watch for the Serious Junior in the coming days.  Enjoy :)

And here comes her real LOVE..... The Seattle Seahawks!! This is a girl who loves the game of football and will watch it Sunday, Monday, and Thursdays, but only has one favorite team!  She also recently asked what type of career she could pursue that would allow her to work within the NFL. She wants football 365 days a year!! She would LOVE to go to a game and experience Century Link Field with the other 12s..... This beautiful, funny, and fun loving Senior made this cold, wet day much brighter!  She was a DREAM to work with!  All I had to do was bark out directions (well, I very nicely suggested what she needs to do next) and she did it with a huge smile and lots of laughs! Her Parents came along for our 2 hour session.... and they were just as amazing!  Apple didn't fall far from the tree!  I had so much fun with this White River Class of 2016 Senior and her Parents!  Thank you for coming out and braving this cold wet day with me!  Congratulations!!

Lately she has been showing an interest in dressing up.  She uses her Mom's hair ties as bracelets, and even uses her snack lids to wear around her ankles!  So we came up with the idea to do a dress up theme shoot.  This session also included a tea party and some makeup brushes!  At first she didn't know what to think or do, but once she started she had so much fun!

Creative angles....

Starting a new business is not very easy. Building clients is even harder, especially when you have maxed out all of your resources.  I have done some research on how to gain more traffic to my website which will potentially gain new clients and beautiful faces for me to photograph.  Well, one of the things that I have found to help is blogging.... so here we are!  My first thought was, "Nobody wants to hear what I have to say". I am not one that has a whole lot to say most of the time, especially for large groups!  So this is going to be interesting for me to do.  Sometimes it may be short and sweet, and other times it may be a little funny and crazy!  You just never know what you are going to get with me... and my family can definitely second that statement.  So I hope you can find some enjoyment out of reading my blogs and viewing all of my work that I share with you!

Today I am sharing a beautiful little girl.  She is full of spunk and a whole lot of attitude!  We usually do her photo sessions outdoors, but living in Washington State we don't always have weather that cooperates.  So today, we did a fun indoor session for her Valentine's Day pictures. She had a blast!  I think her Mom was tired of trying to keep her occupied and interested long enough to capture these adorable pictures. The one thing that kept her interest was a talking minion!  She loved it!  So after the help of the talking minion and her Mom making some funny faces at her, we ended up with some beauties!  Enjoy, and thank you for reading!
